Small Grants Scheme

The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH), in partnership with the International Alliance for the Control of Scabies (IACS), provides two early-career research grants to support clinical or scientific research in tropical medicine or global health. Each grant offers up to £5,000, enabling early-career researchers or global health professionals to undertake independent fieldwork or a unique part of a larger project.

Grant Details

Eligibility

Open to early-career researchers in tropical medicine and global health; applicants should not have previously received significant funding.

Topic and scope

The projects can be on any topic related to tropical medicine and global health, from across the research spectrum for example: lab, translation, implementation, and policy.

Funding Amount

Up to £5,000 per grant.

Duration of grant project

Project should take up to one year to be completed and should start within 3 months of receiving funding.

Number of grants available

Two.
